About the Author

CHRISTOPHER W. HUGHES is Professor of International and Japanese Politics in the Department of Politics and International Studies, University of Warwick, UK. He is the author of Japans Re-Emergence as a Normal Military Power (2004) and Japans Security Agenda: Military, Economic and Environmental Dimensions (2004).
